Chapter 1: The Beginning

[My Diary to Divinity]

In a remote mountain village, there were only a dozen households, living off farming and hunting.

At this moment, the setting sun dyed the sky red, and the sounds of birds echoed through the mountains and forests. Smoke rose from the village chimneys, accompanied by the crowing of roosters and barking of dogs.

"Little Dog, stop daydreaming on the field ridge and come back for dinner!"

"Woof woof woof~"

A large, brown dog named "Big Dog" wagged its tail excitedly, circling around a three-year-old child.

The child, in a sweet, childish voice, shouted, "Got it!"

Then he muttered softly, "My name is Su Hao, I've told you not to call me Little Dog."

He patted the dust off his pants, got up, and swaggered back home.

Big Dog followed him happily.

A village woman, with a baby strapped to her back, was busily moving in and out of the house. After setting up dinner, she glanced outside, saw Su Hao’s figure, and immediately smiled.

The village woman was Su Hao's mother, and the baby on her back was Su Hao's younger sister.

At the head of the table sat a burly man puffing on his pipe, his features bearing a striking resemblance to Su Hao’s. This was Su Hao's father in this life.

But Su Hao was no ordinary child. In fact, he wasn’t even supposed to be here. He had been reincarnated into this world after an unimaginable twist of fate.

Calling it a coincidence would not even begin to describe it.

After quitting his job, Su Hao had planned to travel across the country in his car. The freedom of the open road had beckoned to him.

He drove on the highway for an hour without seeing another vehicle; the entire road was deserted except for his car.

In the spur of the moment, his foot pressed hard on the accelerator and his speed quickly soared to 160 km/h, and continued to climb as he indulged in the thrill.

However, accidents always happen when you least expect them.

His car skidded on a patch of water and crashed uncontrollably into the mountainside, turning both the vehicle and himself into a crumpled wreck.

That was when the true coincidence occurred.

A tiny wormhole appeared, and Su Hao’s consciousness, shaken loose by the crash, drifted into it. Inside, a mysterious transformation began, and slowly, his consciousness and the wormhole began to merge.

The wormhole disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, carrying Su Hao’s consciousness to the unfathomable depths of the universe. Like a Tiny piece of marble, it wandered alone through the vast cosmos, carrying all the information from Su Hao’s conception to his death in the car crash.

This marble-like wormhole would blink in and out of existence in diffrent locations, drifting freely through bizarre dimensions, while Su Hao remained unconscious.

While his consciousness resided in the wormhole, it merely preserved all of Su Hao's information without providing a vessel for thought, so during the long wandering, Su Hao had no awareness.

It was impossible to tell how much time had passed—perhaps an instant, perhaps millions of years—until Su Hao once again regained the ability to think.

Once Su Hao could think, he could connect faintly with the wormhole, and he was able to look through the information stored in the wormhole.

He realized that his current existence as a human child was because the wormhole had inadvertently collided with a young boy, and that child's brain had become the vessel for Su Hao’s consciousness.

Though it seemed as if Su Hao had transmigrated into the child, but in essence, the truth was far more complex.

His Consciousness still resided in the wormhole; he merely used the boy’s brain as a medium to think.

Outwardly, he appeared no different from a normal person.

At first, he thought he had transmigrated. It wasn’t until he sifted through the wormhole’s information that he learned the truth.

If he wished, he could even observe how he developed from a fertilized egg into childhood.

"This is a miracle."

That was Su Hao's sentiment upon learning everything, and he dubbed the wormhole the "Marble Space."

"Bang bang bang~"

Suddenly, urgent Screams echoed through the small village, ccompanied by the frantic barking of dogs.

Su Hao’s father and mother turned pale, and their expressions changed greatly.

"Find a place to hide Quickly. I'll go take a look." Before Su Hao could fully comprehend the situation, his father tossed his bowl and chopsticks aside, gave a quick instruction, and rushed out, grabbing the hunting bow and machete from the wall on his way.

Su Hao, bewildered, looked to his mother for answers.

However, his mother seemed oblivious, her face filled with anxiety as she grabbed Su Hao in one hand and moved around the room, searching for a suitable hiding spot.

Sensing danger, Su Hao didn't ask questions; he just let his mother carry him quietly.

Outside, the sounds of shouting, fighting, and desperate cries were drawing closer, mixed with the wild laughter of men.

In desperation, Su Hao's mother moved aside some firewood, placing Su Hao and his sleeping sister underneath, then covered them tightly with the firewood.

Su Hao stayed quiet, not making a sound.

"Don’t make a sound, Little Dog," she whispered, her voice shaking. "Stay hidden, no matter what happens."

With those final words, Su Hao’s mother grabbed a kitchen knife and rushed outside.

However, she was immediately forced back as soon as she stepped outside.

Two burly men with exposed chests and ragged clothing barged in after her.

"Third Brother, come quick! Look what we found, a young little missy, hehehe!"

"Don't rush. Capture her first."

Upon hearing this, Su Hao's mother knew what awaited her.

As a woman, she knew that if she complied, she might survive. But with her two children hiding inside, their lives would be in grave danger if discovered. She had to get these bandits to leave quickly.

Without hesitation, she raised the kitchen knife and slashed it across her throat, blood spraying everywhere as she collapsed to the ground.

The two bandits tried to stop her, but it was already too late.

"Damn it, running into this kind of bitch, what bad luck!"

As she fell, Su Hao's mother caught a glimpse of the firewood stack, thinking of her two children. They must survive.

Carrying this hope, the light from her eyes faded away.

Hidden by the firewood, Su Hao couldn’t see, but from the sounds, he knew what had happened. Anger and grief surged within him, but he was powerless.

The two bandits ignored the dead woman, ransacked the food, and were about to leave.

"Waaah waaah~"

The noise from the rummaging woke Su Hao’s sister, who immediately burst into tears when she didn't see their mother.

'Damn it!' Su Hao thought to himself. It was too late to comfort his sister now.

The firewood was quickly tossed aside by the two bandits.

Seeing the two burly men with blood-stained blades, Su Hao could only stretch out his arms, standing protectively in front of his sister.

"Third Brother, do we take them or…?"

"Kill them! Crying kids are too annoying."

"Swish~" A blade flashed.

Su Hao fell into a pool of blood.

"Swish~" Another slash.

The crying stopped abruptly.

"So… is this the end of my new life? I’m dying just like this?..."

As his consciousness faded, Su Hao felt unwilling. He was filled with curious about this new world and had already planned his future. He wanted to leave the village in the future and explore this vast, unfamiliar world.

Instead, he died at less than three years of age!

Su Hao lost consciousness.

The Marble Space carried his now-stalled consciousness onward.

It continued drifting through the boundless cosmos, influenced by various forces—attraction, repulsion, acceleration, deceleration—moving deeper into unknown regions.

....

Time passed, and after an unknown period, Su Hao opened his eyes and regained consciousness once more.

By examining the Marble Space’s records, he understood that he had traveled an unknowable distance and arrived in a new world.

His body now belonged to a two-year-old boy.

Since two-year-olds had not yet developed a strong sense of self, Su Hao could easily take over as the vessel for his Consciousness. If it were an adult, his consciousness would be repelled, unable to occupy the body. This was the reason why both times he awoke, each time as a young child.

This realization made Su Hao aware of how miraculous the Marble Space was.

The universe was so vast, yet the Marble Space had managed to take him on a seemingly aimless journey twice, both times landing successfully in the body of a two-year-old.

How lucky was that!

“This time, I must cherish my chance and live a grand life,” he vowed. "Who knows if I’ll get another opportunity?"

But fate was cruel. At the age of three, a plague swept through his village, claiming his life yet again.

Once more, the Marble Space carried him onward into the unknown.

    Improved translation?
A small village was nestled deep in the mountains. It consisted of only a dozen households, their lives sustained by farming and hunting.

As the sunset painted the horizon in fiery hues of red, the mountain birds settled into their nests. Smoke curled lazily from the village chimneys, mingling with the sounds of clucking chickens and barking dogs.

"Dog Two, still daydreaming on the ridge? Hurry back, dinner's ready!"

    "Woof, woof, woof!"

The large yellow dog, aptly named "Big Dog," wagged its tail enthusiastically, circling around a three-year-old child.

The child, his voice still soft, called back, "Got it!"

Then, under his breath, he muttered, "My name is Su Hao. I told you not to call me Dog Two."

He dusted off his small bottom and stood up, following Second Grandpa's footsteps toward home, Big Dog trotting happily at his heels.

Inside a modest home, a village woman, a baby secured on her back, bustled about, preparing the evening meal. Seeing Su Hao's figure approaching, a warm smile lit up her face.

This woman was Su Hao's mother, and the infant on her back was his little sister.

At the head of the table sat a large man, smoking a cigar, his brow bearing a striking resemblance to Su Hao's. This was Su Hao's father in this lifetime.

Within three days of awakening in this new world, Su Hao had pieced together the extraordinary circumstances of his arrival.

To simply call it a coincidence would be a vast understatement.

After quitting his job, Su Hao had planned a solo road trip across the country.

He had been driving for an hour, the highway stretching before him, devoid of any other vehicles. It was just him and the open road.

On a whim, he slammed his foot on the accelerator, the speedometer quickly climbing to 160 kilometers per hour.

But as is often the case, disaster struck when he least expected it.

His car hydroplaned on a patch of standing water, sending it careening uncontrollably into the base of a mountain. The impact was devastating, crushing both the car and its occupant.

    That's when the impossible occurred.

A minuscule wormhole materialized. Su Hao's unconsciousness was drawn into the swirling vortex, where it underwent inexplicable transformations, gradually merging with the anomaly.

The moment the wormhole appeared, it vanished, carrying Su Hao's essence into the unfathomable depths of the cosmos. Like a tiny marble, his entire life's worth of memories and experiences, from birth to the fatal crash, drifted through the universe.

The wormhole marble flickered in and out of existence, traversing bizarre dimensions beyond human comprehension. During this chaotic journey, Su Hao remained unable to think, a passive observer.

While Su Hao's consciousness occupied the wormhole, the wormhole served only to preserve all of Su Hao’s information, it hadn’t provided a body that could allow him to think. Because of that, Su Hao was unconscious during the long period of wandering.

Eons could have passed, or perhaps only a fleeting moment. Time became irrelevant until Su Hao's consciousness flickered back to life.

Once Su Hao could think again, through his faint connection with the wormhole, he was able to look through the information stored in the wormhole and learned everything.

He also came to understand that the reason why he had become a human child was because the wormhole marble had accidentally collided with the child. Thus, the child’s brain had become the carrier for Su Hao’s consciousness.

At first glance, it appeared as though Su Hao had simply transmigrated into the child's body, but the reality was far more complex.

His information and consciousness were still within the wormhole. He was only using the child's brain as a means to think.

Outwardly, he appeared no different from any other toddler.

Initially, Su Hao himself had believed he had transmigrated. It wasn't until he accessed the information stored within the wormhole that he grasped the true nature of his existence.

At will, he could even relive his own development, from a single fertilized egg to a fully grown man.

    "It's a miracle," he thought.

This was Su Hao's conclusion after carefully analyzing his situation. He privately referred to the wormhole marble as the "marble room."

    "Dong, dong, dong!"

Suddenly, the frantic clang of a gong echoed through the village, accompanied by the frenzied barking of dogs.

Su Hao's parents exchanged a look of alarm.

"Quick, hide!" his father exclaimed, abandoning his meal. "I'll go see what's happening." He grabbed his hunting bow and machete from the wall as he rushed out the door.

Su Hao, bewildered, looked to his mother for answers.

But his mother, as if not seeing his confusion, anxiously grabbed his hand and began searching frantically for a hiding place within their small home.

Su Hao sensed the imminent danger. Suppressing his fear, he allowed his mother to lead him.... Soon, the sounds of screams and death filled the air, punctuated by the wild laughter of men nearby.

In desperation, his mother cleared the ashes from the fireplace and placed Su Hao and his sleeping sister inside, covering them with firewood.

Su Hao remained silent, holding his breath.

"Dog Two, listen to your mom," she whispered urgently. "Don't make a sound, don't move."

With those instructions, she grabbed a vegetable knife and stepped outside.

But the moment she did, she was shoved back inside.

Two broad-chested, dirty-looking men forced their way into the house.

"Third brother, come quick! Look what we found! A young lady, hehehe!"

"Hold on, don't rush. Catch her first."

Hearing this, mother knew what would happen to her next.

She was a woman. As long as she was obedient, she could have the chance to live. But her two kids were in the house. Once they were discovered, the two children’s lives were not guaranteed. She had to get these two bandits to quickly leave.

Without hesitation, she raised the kitchen knife and slashed it across her own throat. Blood spurted out as she collapsed to the floor.

By the time the bandits reacted, it was too late.

"Damn it! Running into a crazy bitch like that, what bad luck!"

As his mother lay dying, her gaze remained fixed on the fireplace. *My children must survive,* her eyes seemed to plead as the light faded from them.

Hidden behind the firewood, Su Hao could hear everything, understanding the horrific events unfolding. His heart surged with a mix of anger and helplessness.

The bandits, ignoring the dead woman, ransacked the house for food, preparing to leave.

    "Waa, waa, waa..."

The noise had awakened Su Hao's baby sister, and, not seeing her mother, she began to cry.

"Shit!" Su Hao cursed silently, knowing it was impossible to calm her down.

In moments, the bandits discovered them in the fireplace.

Su Hao stared at the two men, their large blades dripping with blood. Helpless, he spread his arms protectively in front of his sister.

"Third brother, should we take them or..."

"Kill them! Crying kids are annoying."

    *Thwack!* A blade flashed.

Su Hao crumpled to the ground in a pool of blood.

    *Thwack!* Another blade fell.

    The crying stopped abruptly.

*Transmigration... and I'm dying like this?*

Even as he died, Su Hao felt a surge of injustice. He had been so curious about this new world, eager to explore it and make a life for himself.

Instead, he was dying before his third birthday!

    Su Hao lost consciousness.

The marble room gathered Su Hao's consciousness that became still again and continued to wander.

The marble room continued to move forward through the vast universe. It encountered all sorts of phenomena, attraction, repulsion, acceleration, deceleration… Heading to an unknown depths.

Time passed. After who knows how long, Su Hao once again opened his eyes and regained consciousness.

Through the marble room’s recorded information, he understood that he had transmigrated through an unknowable distance and had arrived in a new world.

His body was a 2 year old boy.

The two year old child did not have a strong sense of self and was very easily taken over by Su Hao and became his consciousness’s vessel. If it had been swapped with an adult, his consciousness would be bounced away by the original owner’s consciousness and there would be no way of it becoming a vessel. This was the reason why both times he awoke, it was always a small child.

Because of that, Su Hao realized what a miracle his transmigration was.

The universe was so vast, but the marble room actually could bring him wandering through the universe twice without destination and eventually successfully transmigrate into a 2 year-olds body.

    How lucky was that!

Su Hao sighed: “This time I will definitely cherish this life. I want to live life to the fullest. I may not be so lucky in the future.

    Then.

At 3 years of age, a plague suddenly broke out in the village where he lived. He was accidentally infected and died.

I'm currently on chapter 331, haven't seen everything yet but yes, it is worth it.

The only problem is that after chapter 50, the translator changes and the new guy is lazy af. It's obvious that his technique is to put the entire chapter into some kind of MTL and then edit everything afterwards, which is fine, but he doesn't care to keep an eye on the words that have a lot of synonyms. For example:

Other than that, everything else is pretty good. Also don't worry too much about the TL because things got better. Either that or I got used to it and could read it like normal lol

Don't you realize? Balance is the basis of life. Without it, there would be no stars, no ecosystems... There would be no valleys in the system, no local lows... Everything you know of would blindly follow the whims of entropy. There would be no order, only chaos. To not favour balance is to worship entropy. Entropy is the bane of life. You are the bane of life. Realize your mistakes and unite with us, together we can fight the menace of eternal change. A static universe is the wish of all beings, they just haven't advanced enough to understand the truth. You will either understand the truth or, with our help, be erased, paying tribute with your body and soul to a light increase in accordance to the second law... and we will return your ashes to the cycle, so you repent.

Your cult may attempt to get in my way but I will follow the truth and break the established bounds you hold.
