    I know Grand Dao is supposed to be the big bad, the antagonist waiting at the end of the journey but I can never feel it. Grand Dao is very reasonable and dedicated to it's directive of helping more entities transcend while not destroying or even benefiting the chaos universe, which is reasonable and logical. However, these cultivators act like petulant children that just hit puberty. Everytime Grand Dao goes "no no child, you can't burn the house to play" they treat it as a personal slight, like GD personally tortured them.

      Even Grand Dao's objective is transcendence but from what I have seen she is more chained than these cultivators regarding that aspect.

      I don't think anybody would call Grand Dao bad or evil in any way... She is like a programmed robot that does things best for the world... But they are cultivators, and every cultivator's goal is to get to the next higher realm and be free from rules and regulations; hence, as long as they want to progress, they have to be against GD one way or the other... At least that's how i understand it

      Grand Dao is never the big bad in fact it can never be bad due to the very structure it is based on. This is just a battle for interests.
