    Ohh I completely agree on this. I also drop the novel or atleast close to dropping it (waiting for another disappointing situation to drop it) when Mc have children between novel. It's fine to have children by the end of the novel or not to have it at all.
    I really wish harem or any kind of romantic novel don't have or focus on having children at all. Why? Because I simply want the love between the couple stay between them and not trasfer somewhere else.
    Many won't see this clearly but all genetics of human race or any species is to force them to reproduce. That is why so called 'love' it's just nature guiding them to reproduce so the race continues. In this there are other things as well like a woman (mother) will have her love transfer from her husband to child. Not noticeable but it is so.
    So atleast in novels I want the love between couple stay the way it is without bothering with (or ever) with children.
    It is really an awesome novel if the women (harem or individual) of mc never wants to have children and if the mc feels the same way then it would be more great. They can stay together forever or till death.
    Sadly I never found any such novel ever. sigh
    I actually have an idea for a novel I wish to write (it's an 18+ btw thrill ). And I have preety much have a great big plot ready too. I even wrote few chapters but I am just too lazy to continue writing 😭

    I at least he didn’t give in to his parents like most mcs do. Just cuz your mother wants a grandson doesn’t mean you should just go give birth to a kid you are not ready for. Also, just cuz your mother wants you to marry that girl cuz she thinks she’s cute dont mean you should marry someone you know was just a fling. Mc has my respect for that. At least he is following his free and unfettered dao. Not even parents can change his mind if he decides not to do something.
