    Cordelia's "holy" image is destroyed. She was so worried about the common soldiers, but right now she didn't care about the slaves. Hypocrisy in its purest form. The author should not write at all that she is so "compassionate", and then commit acts contrary to her nature. The author failed to preserve Cordelia's character. All the positive impression of the novel disappeared.

      lol. Reading your comments says a lot about what you feels about the novel and it seems you're not enjoying it so here you are trying to act like a critic with such shallow reason. HAHA.

      Anyway, you said she cares for soldiers and doesn't care about the slaves? Firstly, she cares about them because she's not happy about the fact that they might die because of her and Jude. It's 'indirectly' their fault so she cares.
      Secondly, the slaves, What? Why the hell should she care? what do you want her to do? She's f*cking busy SAVING THE WORLD and you want her to do something like what? Free all slaves? Oh u little schmuck. to inform you slavery might be too much but not every slave were slave without reason, base on so much realism elements put in this novel the slaves is mostly criminals similar to medieval era (rather than put them on execution or put them in jail where they were still being fed they would rather have them sold.)

      And one more thing, Cordelia was never "Holy" where the heck did you even get that? How did you even think that 'compassionate = holy' lmao.

        First: before you write something, read the comment carefully, and then try to write me something with your little brain. Although this advice is useless, nothing else will help people like you.

        Secondly: the author constantly emphasized the "good" image of Cordelia.

        Thirdly: following your logic, we can say that she should not feel sorry for the soldiers, because it is their duty to die for their masters.

      well I can understand your point but the main problem is I don't remember the part where Cordelia was mentioned to be "holy". She is known to be compassionate. She really can't risk the end of the world because of a slave auction. the world's future literally relies on their shoulder. She is not like some Japanese protag who raids the auction in broad day light to save the girl just because he do not understand slavery. he don't understand the fact that he is being dumb and there is no backlash because of the stupid "plot armor".
