    I understand he's trying to further his goals for points and all this that and the other but I wish he cared a little more outside of that, this is a simulator you might say but at what point do the lines blur between reality and the fantasy.

      There's no need for him to get emotionally invested. There needs to be a boundary between reality and simulation and emotions will blur that line. It is like they say in Lord of the Mysteries, "You are only acting."
      Anything more than that will make you lose yourself.

      You know that if he die here he will eject from the simulation and the past relationships will be dream that you want remember so author just superficial about his relationship in his simulation so the readers dont grt too close and think there's a possibility of female lead or whatnot!!

      You're not wrong. But then again he is currently the perfect noble, only out for his own benefit to a extreme degree. Also I believe that he will come to care for Verna when they eventually marry.

        We don't know for a fact this world doesn't exist. Just because it's called a simulation doesn't mean it necessarily is one.

        To actually simulate a world with this level of detail would require a computer at least the size of a planet. And with the simulation being this realistic, there's a philosophical argument that there's no difference between it being real or not. What your mind experiences as reality is reality.

        Regardless, assuming he's not a psychopath, going on a killing spree is not something a normal human could do. There's a huge difference between killing completely unrealistic NPCs in GTA vs killing fully functional, sentient and emotional people in a "game" like this one.
