    I wouldn't call the mc evil since this is only a simulation. It's like a virtual reality video game, you can do whatever you want.

      How many virtual reality video games require decades of constant, unbroken gameplay simulating a fully-functional reality with non-player characters that are completely indistinguishable from real human beings?

      A normal, healthy person would not treat their daily interactions over years-long experiences as if they were playing a video game. Even if they know it's a simulation, it doesn't change the fact it's a life they're actually living. And if a person can casually dismiss the people around them as being "not real," that person is without a doubt a psychopath. It's impossible for an emotionally-functional human to be so disconnected from the people around them.

      As a reader, It's easy to dismiss this scenario as if it's just a game. You're reading the narrative, time-skipped version of what's happening. But a real person, involved in the actual day-to-day simulation, would not be able to disconnect themselves and their emotions or the reality they're living in.

        You can be evil and still be human. Even evil genocidal dictators have people they care about and enjoy(Adolf H), while Fang Yuan is nothing more than a beast that needs to be put down. Being evil isn't a binary thing 1 or 0.

          Hitler was also extremely paranoid and regularly killed the people he was "close" to. Psychopaths aren't just normal people who happen to have evil tendencies. They are mentally dysfunctional. That's not a criticism, it's a fact. Their brains do not function the way a neurotypical person's would.

          If a psychopath seems to function "normally" it's not based on the same motivations a normal people would have. A normal person needs affection, needs companionship. These are emotional responses built in to evolutionary instincts. A psychopath needs to blend in, needs to survive. The connections they have with people are mechanical, and are easily broken. They are manipulative because they don't have empathy for the people they interact with. Their only concerns are their own benefits.

          If a psychopath experiences something they'd call "love" it's not built on companionship and affection. It's more like how you might have a favorite tool or trophy you claim to love. A psychopath's "love" is dependent, it's pragmatic, it's functional. It's not emotional.

    As pessoas estão falando que o MC é manipulador, porem a meu ver, ele não está tratando a simulação como real, parece que ele vê as simulações como um jogo VR que dependendo do desempenho dele, gerará mais pontos

    PS: eu acredito que as simulações são sim reais, e talvez com o desenvolvimento da historia, o MC venha a descobrir.

    People are saying that the MC is manipulative, but in my view, he is not treating the simulation as real, it seems that he sees the simulations as a VR game that, depending on his performance, will generate more points

    although the mc feels super manipulative (which he is and that kinda makes some scenes uncomfortable) atleast he keeps the promises he made
