    So they were kept in a mini world or something like that by someone powerful (Di Tian most def) with probably no knowledge of their real self, for some goal, but when the crack happened, the mini world broke, releasing the people that were kept there (it could also be a big illusion)... Seems like most of the people who were there did not remember their time there but some do and I think most of them are from the immortal clan too
