      Yeah but like having an abrupt ending with the whole tribe thing followed by the void thing and them literally ceasing to exist probably left a scar in him and then barely having any human interactions probably made him a little to attached to them while not thinking about them and now getting hit with that ridiculous "who am I" just reopened this wound it might not have been that big in the beginning but it got really massive overtime. Also he's just delusional thinking she even cares about their weird AHH promise after god knows how many years

    So she is basically keeping his memories hostage and blackmailing him into doing something for her. If she told him about his memories then he would have felt he owed her a favor and it would be reasonable to agree to do something for her in return. But she is putting the cart before the horse and asking him to do something first. Which gives a really bad impression.

        He can refuse whether she tells him or not. If refusal is possible with both methods then why pick the one that leaves a bad impression?

        He has plenty of reasons to refuse already. If he doesn't like being taken advantage of, if he is unsure if she will keep her word, if he doesn't want to kill someone just to obtain memories.

        Overall I think looking for the middle ground would have had the most success. Sharing the memories while at the same time sharing her difficulties and asking for a favor. It would be hard for him to refuse if done in such a way.

          He literally risked his life for some memories (when he was deciding whether to go to han mountain ancestor or not) so why would he refuse when his only chance of remembering his memories in in front of him

            Because not everyone likes being taken advantage of. There is also the option of him accepting the deal and then acting against her afterwards because he doesn't like to be taken advantage of. I think many cultivators would do such a thing after they obtain what they want so the other option would be safer regardless.

            Either way I think both methods have a certain amount of success, its just that one method would leave a bad taste. If I were the MC I would have perhaps taken the deal and then either acted against her or see her as a stranger afterwards. While if she approached me with the soft method I would have also agreed to help and would even feel like I owe her a favor after helping her with her problems since the memories would be that important to me.

                I meant going through with the deal. Doing the hit, getting the memories and then acting against her. Its a pretty common thing in the cultivation world. Anyways I think we discussed it enough, lets just agree to disagree.
