Overall, probably would be a solid 4/5.

Racism and nationalism were kept to a minimal which is nice. Can't really expect a CN novel not to have those.

Rushed ending with plot holes. It was enjoyable in the beginning though.

Any recommendations VR novel like this one?

I think it's very generic but the casting spell system.

So... I just finished the book
First the Harem Tag is missing on this side, if i knew that this book had a harem i wouldn't even started it.
The book is 50% About Magic and 50% all around sex (it's not obvious at the first )
The Charackters: there is the mc and everyone else is a simp, ok let's say 98% are simps,
Wich is sometimes funny, sometimes just sad but mostly anoying.
Women are portrayed quite weakly in this book........
The Mc is ok not to bad but not to good...

I liked the World.

The story was ruined a little bit because of the harem and the simps.

At the end i stayed for the magic System
I would rate the book 5/10

The writer got bored in chp700 i guess and tried to quickly finish everything and it made it just bad :/ I loved this novel up until that point.

This isn't a spoiler, it's a warning to all those that read, this is incredible up until around chapter 700. Then again, thats just me and my mate, we finished this in about ten days. It's truly an amazing read and well worth it, just remember that the ending is rather unsatisfactory and makes it all feel like this was a prequel...(nothing wrong with that tho)

the novel is honestly.. unsatisfying.
you read it, you keep reading it, and you just keep reading it. that's pretty much the gist of it.
there's no moments of excitement, or fear, or gloom. you read it like you're a rock 'n roll teenager reading a newspaper - deadpan.
it's a harem novel, dunno why it doesn't have a harem tag.
if you expected that "since he's a mage that has the ability to perfectly control his magic power and is extremely talented in spell node modification and spends months and months researching every arc, then we'll be seeing crazy new magic every few chapters", i'm not really sorry to disappoint you.
everything comes back to the inferior fireball.
normally i'd say "everything as of now comes back to inferior fireball" but tbh with the way the author writes, it doesn't seem like there'll be any variety any time soon.
so far there's been no r-18 scenes. there has been gore though, so that might be what the r-18 tag is for. regardless, i'll update here if the author gets death-threated into writing an actual r-18 chapter.
roland himself (the MC) is sometimes smart, other times so dumb you want to drop the novel. but then you remember you have no other reads and persevere.
the author has some weird.. tastes? let's just say that as you read on, you'll come across a number of seemingly random sentences that might either irk or please you - depending on your type of person.

give it a try.
i personally have dropped it.
