    I'm not really satisfied with the novel, i feel author lost himself with the consortiums and strongholds, it made the world building extremely boring, also the mc powers were underwhelming from beginning to end.
    One thing he did well is characters i guess, besides Zero of course (if "one" is part of the sequel i might just not read it at all), overall it started as a 4 and ended as 3/5 for me

    And no progress with wifey at all!?
    It was a good read except some very inefficient/non-pragmatic decisions by mc...
    If every close person survived than i really hoped that hypnotist should have been a survivor too, maybe as a golden spirit or mc could bring him back as he is the most powerful world consciousness...

    It has been a journey. Honestly i forgot about this novel after webnovel starts putting paywalls left and right at the time and i had to delete that shitty greedy app.

    I only came back after coming upon the sequel nights nomenclature recently and I had to reread this since I felt missing out on some of the easter eggs on that novel since I didn't finish this yet in my first reading as it wasn't completed yet. I want to even reread it too to see what else i missed.

    Pork trotter may not be the best author but I really like his style and sense of humor. My first novel i read from him was spare me great lord which is also another gem btw. Now that i think about it, all his works has been underrated.

    I'm sad to have finished but satisfied to have read this story. Although I have a few complaints, especially about the 'system' that we learned in the end that it was created by the mc to make his willpower more bearable, I still firmly believe that I would have liked the missions of the palace to have appeared more often. Apart from that, I don't have any other complaints about this outcome (ignoring the fact that the most romantic interaction between Xiaosu and Xiaojin was a hug and not a kiss, which really annoys me ohno ).

    I felt like there was room for a couple more chapters, but I see that the author has a continuation in the same universe of this novel with a main character quite similar to Wang Yun, so I'm not going to demand anything more from the author. imbest

    It's been a pleasure to finish this hidden gem. See you somewhere else, dear fellow readers. bow

      The truth is that yes, it pissed me off a little that when Zero talked to others, it always seemed like they became more stupid when it came to answering his existential crises, when they obviously knew that he was a f#cking lunatic just like the person who created him.

        I haven't read the second novel from the author because it doesn't have a lot of chapters yet. Iirc, it didn't even have 200+ chapters when I checked it. You may have noticed from the time between my comments but I devour novels and read very quickly so I didn't wanna start and have to wait. I'm letting it stack up 😁
