    Using the Q/A session should be extremely useful for vince since he is a 6th level magician. Since vince is doing so much for him mc should have used it for vince.

    Once an artifact reached a higher rank, it wasn’t something that a family or person could possess. It was common for the artifact to go directly to the kingdom and be designated as a national treasure

      Yeah lets just risk being charged for possible treason, resulting in the family get hung for up to 3 generations or something like that you know?

      Besides it doesn't state that it is given away for free. I'd be very surprised if there was not a reward for giving a high ranked artifact to the Kingdom

        Yeah, I think so. But it will be taken away forcefully regardless of whether you want it or not. They just give out rewards as a consolation prize. But will their value actually compare to the artifact? Most probably not. So, it's still what it is - forcefully taking away valuable stuff. And "government" or "kingdom" sounds vague. In fact, it will be a group of people and their successors who will benefit from that first and foremost. So, it's about one group of people making a second group of people submit and obediently hand over stuff
