      He isn't wrong though. This is simply him making himself feel better against these people who look down on him.

      Its good to read and I personally enjoy it, as long as it doesn't go on too long, but it is absolutely true that this is a waste of time for him - he should be in the library, looking to gain more magical items, or making money to buy more books/replace the eaten books in the library before someone finds out, like he mentioned he would previously.
