    The authors obsession with forcing MC to do everything possible to be close to humans is annoying. I have yet to see MC really benefit at all from this relationship despite himself claiming all these future benefits he will get from them. When does he plan to get any information from the humans? Almost feels like the ants are slaves to the humans, they provide resources for free, protect their town for free, and power level them in the dungeon for free.

      I agree that anthonty babysitting them is annoying and I be happy if it come to an end somehow but it's not useless.

      Because the colony learned a lot by watching humans and made it possible to prevent other humans from becoming enemies in the future.

      Either that or they try to kill the colony even more.

      They get knowledge and simply put, the legion can be deterred if the ants are really proven to be both peaceful and friendly to non-enemies. The current sentient races are far far above in experience and knowledge, so the ants need every bit of time and help that they can get.

      “I have yet to see him benefit” oh so you’ve been skipping chapters then. I can tell you that just Beyn has been massively helpful to him with his knowledge about skill progression. Anthony would not have gotten his omen bite skill for the battle against Garrolash in time or maybe not at all. Because he doesn’t know about skill fusions at all if he didn’t get the knowledge from the priest.
