                  It's like the spring autumn cicada, a vital tool of MC. Except, it's significantly weaker, but it can be used way more frequently. As you said, it maximizes the efficiency of various techniques, and later of spells but it's still MC's hard work that'll make him progress.

                  nah hes more of a family guy like want to protect his loved ones
                  but at one point in the series he did pretty evil things but it wouldnt be what you'd expect but what i like abt the series is that there is no illogical shit power ups or something almost everything is understandable its realistic and mc might be little different from normal people but in no way hes special or something crazy gives him power boost and theres many people stronger than him and he has to constantly try his best and would kill somebody if it was totally necessary and would do almost anything to protect his family
