    An immortal battlefield killer move was different from a Gu formation, if a Gu formation was destroyed, the Gu Immortal would usually not suffer heavy injuries, but when an immortal battlefield killer move was destroyed, the backlash would normally be heavy and severe.
    Why? Can anyone explain this to me?

      I think it's because a formation is more like a tool that you can lay down and form, some formations can even be activated by themselves so the Gu or the formation itself would suffer most of the damage.

      While an immortal battlefield killer move is created by the user, I'd guess it's just a more complicated killer move which can usually result in backlash from what we've seen.

      I could be wrong though

        I was mainly asking, what makes a gu formation different from a battlefield killer move, like what aspects in forming or laying down a gu formation makes it so "if a Gu formation was destroyed, the Gu Immortal would usually not suffer heavy injuries, but when an immortal battlefield killer move was destroyed, the backlash would normally be heavy and severe"? but thank you for responding regardless.

          Id say a formation is a seperate entity compared to the Gu Immortal where as a battlefield killer move is merely an extention of the gu immortal. Atleast thats how I see it.

            So, does that mean in a battlefield killer move, (from Gu Formation perspective), the user is an environment and due to the dao marks of the user usually aligning with the gu of the "mobile gu formation" (battlefield killer move), the effects are powerful, time efficient, and it is inherently mobile as it's base is the user (who can obviously move). A gu formation instead relies on the environments dao marks and there is a lesser likelihood of them aligning as well, so it needs a larger coverage and usually when moved the "power" sorts of cuts off, but due to a more stable connection it can provide constant effects relying on the environment (at no cost to user) at the cost of portability...

      Theway I visualize it, killer moves are like people trying to build a jinja tower, if they don't focus or lose concentration, and if the tower was hit or unraveled in the process, it could fall on them and cause damage, while Gu formations are jinja towers that is already built, and put on the ground. Maybe it's more stable and not fragile to the touch because there are multiple formation cores, it's basically a building with structure and such.

    What made Wu Yong astonished was these Gu worms had not received the slightest of damage, but they were no longer under his control and had begun to separate from each other, not willing to cooperate and work together.
