        Yup. They definitely can. But on earth swimming can even be called science.
        While here mortals are too distracted by poverty to research most efficient ways of swimming.
        And gu masters would most likely just use gu worms to swim, as that is faster.
        There is just not much reason for the natives to know how to swim well without gu.
        So I was surprised.
