    Bruv all these people with strong backings. Must admit that hei lou lan has a sad life where her loving mother died and her dad is trying to copulate with her for lifespan but these people that are born into colossal forces with a lot of cultivation resources and think they are special because of it. She has two influential gu immortal aunts among whom one is rank right, she could use immortal gu as a mortal, meanwhile Fang Yuan has to scheme for every single thing. He doesnt have any backing for resources, as a demonic path cultivator, he needs to put his life on the line for resources. All em mfs are finished if FY has strong backing but I suppose that wouldnt have created the demon that we see today

    This whole “Hei Lou Lan is a peerless genius” thing is so overplayed and unearned lol. What has she done since she ascended besides keep going “aunty, FY is being mean to me”

    That whole arc of how she realizes she needs to step up and take responsibility for her own cultivation is so funny looking back cause (unless i missed something) she literally didn’t do anything

      The only genius that i see in the whole novel is FY and he had a f#cking luck most of the time. These 10 extreme body owners' are just f#cking spoiled brats. If not they were f#cked up by FY, they would already be dead.

      I don't think they mean she is intelligent when they call her a genius. I think it is meant as a cultivation genius, as in very strong... And she is quite strong, don't forget her killer move is what inspired FY's myriad self. She just hasn't been given as many opportunities to show her strength, not to mention losing Self Strength affected her deeply.

      That event made HLL more independent, which was mostly the point. She stopped relying on the finances from the guts gu trade, and started her own businesses, which was mentioned briefly afterwords.
      And it was less of an arc and more like two chapters...

    Hei Lou Lan got massive help yet thinks she a strategist now lol. Still relying on her aunts and even mentioning Fang Yuan helping her, her face is thinking than Fang Yuan's ambition.

    Just plot armor now for the story doesn't even make sense how she retrieved attitude gu as she was never separated from them when she ascending (was she standing on top of the site? c'mon now) nor how she could determine where it was located even if she was given inside clues from Hei clan unless she also has wisdom path attainment to deduce.

It's like saying that Fang Yuan had plot armor when retrieving wisdom Gu, and when he got wisdom Gu there were way more people than when Hei Lou Lan ascended, you're acting like they had time to keep an eye on her when Fang Yuan was obtaining strength path attaintment and when they were defending against her father and his helper

      And you're surely forgetting that Hei Lou Lan before the fall of Giant Suns Venerables Gu house WAS A MORTAL LEADER OF HER TRIBE AND WAS NOT USING HER MAIN PATH and you say she isn't some sort of strategist

        Gu immortals cannot be compared to mortals. Attitude Gu would've been discovered long ago by the immortals the only reason immortals do not bother them is because they have nothing of interest. Notice how the immortals noticed Fixed Immortal Travel when Fang Yuan sealed the Immortal Gu when first going to Northern Plains. The situation you're referring to are completely different. Wild rank 9 Wisdom Gu was trapped in 88 True Yang Building when discovered he didn't know it was there and he didn't refine it. And Hei Lou Lan somehow discovered a wild immortal rank 8 Attitude Gu by herself or atleast the only one alive to know and refined it. I doubt it.

        And yes of course she was kept an eye on after the collapse of 88 True yang Building she became a Northern Plains fugitive. Next you say defending against her father and his helper? Right while I'm defending myself against strong rank 7 enemies as a rank 6 let's stroll around to find a wild Immortal Gu?

        Either way something of this importance needs at least a clue beforehand not just appear out of no where.
        ex. "Previously Hei Lou Lan tripped on a inconspicuous rock that somehow looks and feels completely ordinary yet is moving so decides to keep it."

        Though I do admit I forgot that she was the leader of Hei tribe's mortals since she became so useless as a immortal I overlooked that.
