    Yay! We got glimpse of fang yuan before he turned to Demonic Path and changed into this FANG YUAN! His reaction seems normal to the massacre just like any of us would react, neither it is exaggerated like those "Righteous"(Shameless) mc's from other novels or animes nor is it cold like those "Demonic " mc's, who's okay to kill people just after arriving in a new world and adapts faster than light but then gets flustered by a Heaven Defying Beauty he came across.

    Btw comparing with present, It is so amazing and surprising to see Fang Yuan saying "You lunatic!" Just because that assassin killed a bunch of featherman lol.
