    I mean why didn't he ask the Lang Ya blessed land to refine the second Gu to begin with? Also why hesitate to sell the recipe when he clearly knew he wasn't the only one with it? Like if he refine it first it doesn't matter if anyone has the recipe as there can only be one of that Gu at any given time and the only real reason anyone would get the chance to create it after is probably MC dead along with the gu

      He didn’t ask for an immortal gu to be refined because he couldn’t use it or send it home. He would just be putting himself at risk keeping it. He also discovered that stargate gu was an option again through the spirit’s info that the starlight fireflies could be used, so he wanted that first and needed to verify it before he had an immortal gu to send home or hide. I also don’t think the stargate gu could even send the immortal gu across as it’s rank 5. On top of all this, why would he waste a refine request on something he had a decent shot to do himself once he got back to the blessed land.

      As for why not exchange the recipe for divine travel gu immediately, it’s because it was way too suspicious. FY is cautious and, just like when he avoided Ge Yao’s trap, he didn’t just take what he thought was obvious bait.

    Small thing I've noticed (which should've been obvious) is that MC's previous mentality & demeanour that seemed too aggressive/devious in the early books is now pretty commonplace. Everyone's got their own agenda to chase and they'll do anything to make it happen.
    MC lived through 500 years of that and it made him who he is.
    We obviously do not live in a world like this. Not openly anyway. So people thinking FY is their new god and they wanna live like this should take note of that.
