      well there are 2 options for romance one is Bai Ning Bing accepting being a female and falling in love with Fang Yuan who knows it might actually happen lol
      the 2nd is a long lost gf of his losing her in his past life and finally meeting her again now is also possible
      Idrc tho the story is going great and one annoying character could ruin the whole novel so I prefer it being dry (romantically) than ruining for just the heck of it

            idk, i rrly hating this second book, if entering a novel it would just spoil it even more. i'm hating the Gu, this "path" that was randomly introduced, and MC taking a shit path and for some reason even after "stop acting" it's still on it .. it's just making me more and more want to drop and reread lord of the mysteries : I or any not generic novel

            Okay, the Mc is "cold and Smart" but f#ck it , in my view so far it's not much different from any cultivation novel, no clichés of course, but nothing special.

              well it wasn't random the whole story is about Gu and the path is normal for any cultivation novel since it means what you are best off same with the old woman from his clan which he killed her grandkid they both were a healing path and others
              so it is not a new thing the story is good and well written keep reading everything will be explained and some really unexpected stuff gonna happen.
              oh and it ain't a shit path btw it is a really good one there is a small spoiler here that might keep you going

                  I can relate to you. I dropped LOTM twice, but third time I followed the advice and completed the first volume(around 225 chapters). Trust me, it got better and better. Now LOTM 1 is my favorite novel. I have already reread it once and will reread again when 2nd book finishes. So, if you have nothing to read, just finish the first volume; who knows it might become your fav novel as well.
