    This is something that bothers me in all transmigration novels. How the hell does he know how a train works? And even the steam engine... Surely he does not know it just by being a king, when he has been training all his life... And a steam engine or the intricacies of a train is not something that you can read in a book just one time and not only understand it but also remember it decades later.

      My guess is he had a very basic understanding of how they worked and pitched a basic design, now they just have to fill in the rest with magic and what other knowledge he might have, but yeah. Fantasy Novels.

      in this case, with us seeing his past, we do know that he had a inventor friend
      who went into quite some details about somethings
      so
      it's not such an unbelievable thing that he might have knowledge in technical areas
      and this type of train is not so much of an absurd thing to explain, as well
      in general, it's not so bad the way things are portrayed in this novel, while in some others it might be related to differences in schooling on other countries... I wouldn't be surprised of it being the case, at least
