      Adventurer is an occupation, they are not soldiers. But since they possess military strength they were enlisted and war coming at their doorstep means that soon everyone is gonna be in the same situation. And what do you mean there are more important things to do in a war? It's pretty normal for everyone to blow off some steam to keep their sanity in check, seeing people you care about dying every day is exhausting. That can be different from person to person, but everyone changes during war. The best example is war in Ukraine right now, look, understand, emphasize and help if you are able. No one wants their normal life being snatched away from them and they would do anything to change that. But war does not mean that you need to stop being human and become a robot only following orders, do you think soldiers during their free time can't let loose a little if it does not affect the ongoing situation, bullshit and you know it.
