wtf. Lith’s sword acting like a murderous dog was borderline. This staff acting like a toddler is retarded. More on babies and bloodlines

The protagonist has had a second child; almost all the secondary characters have either had children of their own or already had them to begin with. And here is the most ominous part: nearly every secondary character who *isn't* focused on starting a family tends to die—and quite frequently, at that.
(Floria had no plans for a family—she didn't even really date anyone—and she died. Manohar was a die-hard womanizer—and he died alone. Lark chose not to remarry—and he died.)
The Guardians—essentially divine beings? Hmm... let's turn them into nannies and "grandparents." And as for Tyris? He’s apparently planning to make a move on the MC—but only a thousand years from now, once Camilla has passed away from old age.
Morag—a High God? Hmm... let's have him appear to the MC in the guise of his own mother.

And now there’s this: as if we didn't have enough babies already, now we’ve got "living weapons"—whether they’re pets or children is anyone's guess...

I’m becoming increasingly convinced that this entire story is being written by Dominic Toretto. The theme of *FAMILY* simply dominates everything here far too heavily.
