    I’ve read 400 chapters of this work, and it’s the worst thing I’ve ever read.

    If I had to put it briefly, it would be this: clichés + cringe + idiocy.

    Let me explain in order. The main character is an idiot. He doesn’t have a single positive quality, except for the fact that he inherited some powerful technique. He constantly gets himself into trouble, never finishes off his enemies, and behaves arrogantly, even though in reality he’s nothing special.

    The supporting characters are cardboard cutouts. There are only four types of them: arrogant young masters, girls who are head over heels for the protagonist, hanger-on friends, and servants.

    I strongly recommend not wasting your time. There is absolutely nothing here worth reading for.

    Hmmmm, what can I say at 3500 chapters it was certainly a ride a bumpy ride to say the least I dropped and came back and dropped again only to comeback cause there really wasn't any other novel to catch my interest
    Now about the novel the first 50 to 100 chapters started slow to be honest so just get pass that, it had some cliches but let's be honest it's one of the OGs so the ones that came after obviously copied from it
    The characters were like a 3.5/5 nice development especially the MC but as always a "funny" decision here and there which is expected it has a nice world building and the power scale was interesting
    So in the end it was worth the time but I do have to remind you I had to skip some chapters cause of repetition in plot like cliches or the same pattern
    So fair assessment for me is 3.7/5

    What an exhausting read. I believe the author ended it because he got bored.
    The fillers and repetitions are insane.the novel isn't bad and in various plsces it is very good too. The tension build up is good as well but it is too disjointed and the payoff isn't handled properly.
    The novel is atleast double the size of what it should have been. The last 300 chapters has insane power scaling and it feels that the author is bored and wants to end it.

    It's a typical novel, with good and bad moments, until you're fed up. So I haven't read it all, and you probably won't either. The problem with this kind of up and down novels is the good parts aren't great while the annoyance tends to accumulate.

    But the main reason I have to recommend you skip it until you have nothing else to read, is because it's awfully similar to Peerless Martial God, which is a couple years older, completed, and more importantly it's better IMO. And even that one, PMG, gets boring at some point too.

    So my advice is your might as well read PMG instead. Ancient Godly Monarch, by the same author of PMG, is much better still (one of the few I've read until the end).

    As a general recommendation, Martial Peak is hands down the best of its kind.
