      But he was thinking about the reason. His new but old friend died in the smog. So was the family he pitied. And since he had a personal relationship with them, he felt like their deaths would be unanswered otherwise.
      Plus he's a good guy.
      And it's not like he'll dive head first into danger and war. Even he said that he can only make some preparations and see how it goes.

        The theme of this novel is dark to gray, but the MC is too white, if you catch my drift

          It's understandable, honestly.
          I see it as somewhat of a necessity tho. In the world revolving around chaos and madness, his clear morals are a great anchor for his humanity. It also goes further. People here are distrustful, so him staying true and caring was a crucial part of getting all the support he's gotten. To ones it meant a safe bet, and to the others, a stable backing. It also helped the powerhouses to lessen their wariness, and so on.
          It's like that proverbial lighthouse in the storm, necessary for maintaining the course.
          On the other hand, if he chose the opposite, to be the fisherman in the troubled waters, he'd just drown, with how high the waves were.
          That's just my outlook, tho. I also like when MC's have this refreshing freedom and volatility to their character instead, anyway.

          If he eill change from white to grey or dark he will lose control and fie , klein is by nature a good guy as been said by the guy before me so if he will change suddenly he will lose control , now i think he has a personality disorder i m not sure tho , ehat i meab is his mental state is at rock button and he is recovering it little by little

    People with power usually tend to downplay the negative effects of a certain act if it benefits them. Hope MC levels up quickly and crushes the gods and everyone else who are trying to start a war or are in favor of it.
