      i'd rather trust her and the orthodox gods rather than primordial moon, mother tree, primordial demoness, dark side of the universe, hidden sage, and true creator.
      all of them, gods and beyonders alike, have their own agenda--even Klein--but orthodox gods are far more helpful than the rest.

        I'm a typical xianxia reader, for me those gods are just cultivators that lived and born earlier. Anybody with the right fate can replaced them by cultivation. Some gods they are...

        If I were to be transmigrated to that world with all this knowledge I will directly avoid beyonder powers and find my own way to cultivate and kill those gods left and right. at this point in the story it's already confirmed there are other entity coming from outside so that means different power system exist.

          Pft. HAHAHA. Goodness, how dumb can you be. Or perhaps you haven't finished the novel yet. Anyway, your 'xianxia' sensibilities aren't going to work in this universe. Here, either you work from the bottom of the Seq, risk consuming a higher seq potion, be born as a beyonder, or be born as a mythical creature. In this particular universe, you CAN'T defy fate like in those 'cultivation' genres. There is a rule you have to follow. Risk trying otherwise and you either end up dead or losing control. And you CAN'T take advantage of foreknowledge of this Universe like those in 'transmigration' genres, especially if you know about the Cosmos. Unless you transmigrated as Seq 1, then say goodbye to your sanity and self awareness because you will undoubtedly be corrupted and lose control.
          And for goodness sake, improve your reading comprehension. The orthodox gods, particularly the three who were once Kings of Angels of ASG, were just alluded to cannibalize ASG but the blunt truth is that they consumed the beyonder characteristics they need for Seq 0 Advancement from ASG's corpse.
          You should remember Dunn Smith consuming the beyonder char of the nighthawk that died. Besides, most beyonder characteristic needed in potions came from dead beyonders.
          That is the cruel truth of this universe. Something you can't escape from if you wanted to contend with beyonders. Because the innate nature of power in this universe just leads to madness the closer you are to godhood.
          And f#ck's sake, don't compare those gods of xianxia with the concept of gods in this universe.

    I feel that these 'warped' versions of the gods are their 'mythical creature form'. For example, the Lord of the Storms mythical creature form is an armored monster with a squid’s head, lightning swirls around it as waves surged at its feet and had a cape formed by bird feathers behind it. If my guess is true, then I think that Evernight's 'mythical creature form' is that of a demonic wolf because the previous Evernight, basically Flegrea, was said to have the form of a demonic wolf.

    I imagine the Evernight Goddess is like a teacher in all black garbs, sitting behind her desk warily keeping an eye on the clever student. The little punk smiles and greets her warmly one minute, then tries to sneak out of class the next. And he regularly teases his classmates, but he also gets into fights with bullies in order to protect them. He also occasionally does something nice for her. But at other times, he tries to steal stuff off of her desk when she isn't looking. And she sees every one of his antics! And can't help but wonder why he's one of her favorite students.
