    Everyone acting like Emlyn is not doing the same or even worse, Emlyn is just as arrogance as Hazel, but surprisingly, everyone loves Emlyn and no one says he needs a reality check. Is there good arrogance or bad arrogance? Is childish arrogance better than intentional arrogance? Tell me, do Hazel and Emlyn both need a reality check or we could just spare Emlyn?       In this people's defense it's frustrating to read hazel's plot and funny asf for emlyn but i think people need to chill
      Arrogance is a type of characters that are fun to have for development and even if the character didn't have a reality check and stayed naive and arrogant so be it this is a story anything could happen
      There's no rule that says every arrogant character HAVE to get a reality check

      Some people are arrogant while not knowing better.

      Few are arrogant despite knowledge of higher mountains and heavens.

      Hazel just shrunk into inferiority as soon as she saw Audrey, a person prettier than her.
      Plus, she is mainly arrogant just because she got some powers.

      Compare her to Klein, Audrey and Derrick.
