      It was mentioned that, after the first kill, Devils fall into a frenzy and enter a bloodthirsty state, so they wouldn't be able restrain themselves from murdering each imprisoned beggar. That is bad since the ritual needs kills to happen one or three days apart iirc

          Not really. He could just use the topaz/the gem he has in his left hand to divine "Will I be affected/harmed if I tell someone who doesn't know acting method about it", he can even just toss a coin. It's not dream divination so he will definitely not see any Gods
