I know that cuttlefish gains this realism in the story from true history, so I was worried and looked it up..

    It's true, frankly.
In the Victorian period of London, late 19th century, approximately 1 out of 10 women was, or had a history of being a prostitute.

Honestly, the data here may also be correct, but I opted to go safer with approximations.

Usually, I might've even joked, like "No friends, you're not unattractive, you're just born in the wrong era", but I'm feeling heavy right now.
    What staggering numbers.

If you're interested, you can start by inspecting those sites. They give a good introduction to the topic. (Spaces bcs idk if the site allows links)

Man...the mc in this arc is plain stupid, arrogant dumb...i mean come on..he could avoid soooo much trouble if he is a bit careful and not act like he is in top of the world,i don't get it, is he 'acting' like this for the clown portion....? And why is he not using the grey fog to do devition that he can devision so much
And that bodyguard...,bitch you hired her for fuc#king 1000 pounds...yeah flipping 1000 pounds, and she is Protecting you, not for stalking,if you want to go for the grey fog, just fuc#king tell her you need some privacy and go for it....fuc#king hell how difficult is that to do
And another i dont get it is that ......get a fuc#king mask,it will help you soo fuc#king much
    Damn im soooooooo triggered

I think you’re getting triggered for absolutely no reason

Asking for privacy from Miss Bodyguard wouldn’t make any sense since he’s a guy that’s terrified for his life against people he knows very little about (of course he knows but Sherlock does not) and those people could attack him at any point even if Miss Bodyguard looks away for a few minutes since Beyonders have quite some strange and powerful abilities or mystical items
And it’s not worth it in the chance that she finds out he’s able to leave his body in spirit and go to another realm in a sense
Remember that just because she’s guarding him doesn’t mean he can absolutely trust her

Also, how is he being stupid?
From what I can see he’s very careful and thinks about his actions a lot. There might be somethings that still happen but he can’t see the future and watch out for everything and there are times when he has to do certain things that are dangerous if he avoids everything that has some danger to it then he might as week never leave his house or just leave Backlund and live like a normal citizen somewhere else.

And it doesn’t make sense for him to be wearing a mask everywhere, I mean who would hire a private detective that’s wearing a mask all the time. And he did rent a place in the south and bought a few things such as wigs and different clothes so he couldn’t be recognized when he does certain activities.

Danger is to be expected if he’s going to stay in the world of Beyonders

Lmao, 270 chapters in and you don't even get the basic concept of divination right. How are you only complaining now? If it were to works like some fate prying binary machine, there would be no one left alive now.

      1. MC is a flawed person much like any human in this world. He makes mistakes and that's reasonable.
      2. Divination is not absolute. It's mere guidance. And though it would be prudent to Divine his day-to-day activities, it is rather overkill and inspires paranoia.
      3. If you are triggered, I guess you are projecting your own insecurities and flaws you wish were not seen on a 'fictional' character.

Not entirely sure I understand why anyone would hire a private detective for guard duty? Wouldn't it make more sense to hire a mercenary group for that? Although there was a combat-vetting process, it still seems like an unusual leap in logic. Are private detectives usually known to be capable guardsman?

Talim is a friend of Mary, and one of the two individuals that gave their suggestion to induct Klein into the club. They would've known that Klein at least had the skill to tail and capture images of Mary's husband in action. Furthermore, Mary would've known from the Klein's landlord (Mary's friend) that Klein is an adept fighter, having won against the 'thief' in his house and defended himself succesfully. Talim having heard this from Mary would've then been interested in Klein, so mentioned it to his friend and bam... Not to mention, who else would this reporter hire? He can't go to the police, as they would probably kick him out or ban him from following up on suspects/interfere with his work. Klein is a cheaper option.
