Wait there were seven total doors and he checked six, and found six of the Orthodox gods,so shouldn't he think like the god of steam and machinery will be in the seventh door. but instead he said that there was no statue of god of steam and machinery,or am i tripping.   Spoiler about the lore
  Not totally sure if this was mentioned so far but compared to these 6 gods the god of steam and machinery is relatively new. He came to power I think towards the end of the fourth epoch. So I don’t think his statue would be in this building.

The meaning of the two chairs and the explanation of 4th epoch history DO NOT OPEN if it's your 1st time or you can, it's not like you'll remember much of it after a few chapters anyways
The two chairs signify the Tudor-Trunsoest combined empire with both the rulers from dark emperor pathway but none of them were Dark Emperor yet.(Blood emperor- alista tudor & night emperor from trunsoest side)
The seven deities were also in support of this combined empire.

At one point the seven deities started supporting night emperor to become The Dark Emperor(seq 0 of it's pathway- a true deity)
In desperation, Blood emperor Alista Tudor took help of A**m & Amon to laid a trap to capture Einhorn, Sauron and Medici who each had one seq 1 characteristic of hunter pathway.
They were successful and after a ritual in that exact same room which klein opened Blood Emperor consumed 3 seq 1 characteristic of Hunter pathway.
As a result of changing to different pathway which was not a neighboring pathway to dark emp. pathway, Alista Tudor went mad.

But since they( sauro,einhorn,medici) were seq 1 beyonders their remaining spirits didn't totally decline but fused as one to become the evil spirit that klein just encountered.
After the war of 4 emperors- namely Black Emperor( from Solomon Empire), crazy Blood emperor, Night emperor and Death- emperor of underground, the first 3 fell.

And Death got the biggest slice of pie i.e. three seq 1 beyonder characteristics of Hunter Pathway which he tried to digest, as a result of which he went mad as well( as previously mentioned in the story)
He along with Primordial Demoness, lay waste to northern continent until they were stopped by The Seven Deities. Death perished in that battle.( That was Pale Era after which 5th Epoch started)

As for why this underground structure hadn't been found by the three churches even though it's in Backlund is because A**m( who is actually the reincarnated Sun God) is protecting his one of the most devout follower, his War Angel- Medici.
