    I feel like this line signifies the acting principles that Klein adopted for Clown sequence. Because every time this brilliant smile appears, it’s preceded by a thought which is usually sad or nostalgic for Klein - and thus he does what a Clown would - and buries that pain behind a BRILLIANT smile. At least I believe so.
