I never commented before but i just have the urge to get this out.
I watched the Donghua before reading and just wanted to know how the story goes on. I thought i could just read from here because i already know what happens but damn now im extremly happy i didnt. Because the thoughts, emotions and additional plotlines that werent event touched on in the Donghua were just ABSOLUTE PEAK. And im now certain that i will read the remaing 1000+ chapters of the novel and have a great time with it.

This Volume was just ABSOLUTE CINEMA acinema .

    Quote: Reverend Reader
"Melissa and Benson looked at the clown in a daze. All they saw was a wide smile plastered over the pastel face. It was a happy smile, an exaggerated smile, a ridiculous smile.

    (End of the First Volume)"

I quite liked the first volume. If it keeps up like this it will definitely be in my top 5, if it gets even betterr then maybe in top 3

Here's my review on first volume:-
It started off great got a little slow in between but afterwards it picked up and just kept getting better. the characters were absolutely brilliant their dialogues, dynamics top tier the power system top tier thematic setups and complexity to the story including the main plot sub-plot were absolute banger. the emotions it portrayed to us viewers was brilliant and the conclusion was the cherry on top being the perfect in concluding the set up events and invoking deep emotions and I'll add that the way story set up "mysteries" to us did not feel forced but they invoked the cliffhanger feeling in perfect way and delivered when they were revealed and there's still a lot of mysteries left!!!!!!
overall I'll say its the best introductory volume it could have no complaints 9-9.5/10

Dude, I honestly don’t know how to express how much I liked this first season, this first volume. I really enjoyed the supporting characters, the story, the way different plot points were connected—how several things tied together, the coincidences, the mysteries, and how everything was very well woven throughout the volume. Across the entire volume, all the supporting characters and every element that was introduced were used extremely well. There really isn’t any inconsistency in the story in this first volume. I admit I’ll simply miss Klein making a pot of mutton stew for his sister.
This melancholy of having lost his family, of things never being the same again.

It's apparent, that the author didn't lose anyone in his life, because this "farewell" is so callous, I cut my eyes with it.

This is just a difference in perception, I liked it very much. A miserable fool who couldn't meet his loved ones to keep them safe, a clown trying to bring a smile to others while holding deep sorrow within...what a perfect goodbye.

3 months to a year recuperation period for Benson.
A Year of sorrow for Melissa.
A lifetime of suffering and nostalgia for both of them.

Yeah.... definitely the greatest farewell of all times puke

        P.S.
As a bonus they get a week of nightmares from a creepy clown that suddenly jumped at their face.
