    Nah, he nearly died. Aint no way he don't consider it. If he gonna put his life at the death's door like that, just jump to the next life instead.       WTF do you even mean? Almost everything he did made perfect sense—it was all about staying safe. He wasn’t trying to play the cliché “hero” from some novel; he genuinely wanted to return to his family but got dragged into the fog and and acted as the fool. Further, everything he did was to save himself and the people in his new life; he coordinated with the captain cuz he was literally being tracked down by a dead guy's father and the f#cking Org for the antigonus whatever book as the only sole survivor of the case. If not for the protection, he would be dead.
      If he doesn’t get stronger, he’s nothing more than a chicken waiting to be slaughtered. Gaining power is the only way to control his fate instead of being a disposable pawn. And think about it—China exploded in growth over the last three decades, and that emperor was clearly knowledgeable, likely from the same era give or take a decade. That means 200 years in this world could translate to just a few years back home, giving him a real chance to return. He didn’t use a time machine—it was a ritual. So how else do you expect him to go back? Just lie down and die here? No way. Taking the risk is the only logical choice.
