    this is why i dont like this X fold reward things, the authors never stick to their own rules and instead of just numerical multipliers we start to get quality upgrades which are not easy to quantify and the authors never bother to explain, this allows them to produce ass pulls frequently which leads to them getting lazy and the story pacing being arbitrary set with no regard to their own logical setting.

    it would have been better to stick to X fold reward for all things and have him get a reasonable quality bump on critical hits, which can be built into a logical framework of his cheat to hold the plot together and prevent ass pulls when convenient
