      I don't know to what extent having a teenage body full of hormones might influence things, but I suppose something like that would be to be expected.

      Besides, no matter how old you are, being stressed, tired, and irritated by the constant nonsense from someone who could also be considered an old man could cause any grandparent to explode in a fit of rage.

        Exploding in a fit of rage and jumping someone to beat the tar out of them are completely different.

        Blaming everything on hormones is a total cop-out; most teenagers don't assault others. As for those that do get physical, it's usually caused by multiple factors, e.g., upbringing, environment, their current situation, hormones, etc. Based on what we know of Michael, the only thing that applies to him would be the hormones; everything else would likely have the opposite effect, making him far less likely to get in a fight.
