  Even if what you are saying is a much simpler solution,
  it defeats the purpose of those challenges preparing people for sth.
  That is like doing homework with AI. Even if u r not caught and get a good grade. You did not learn the lesson that comes from overcoming the challenge.
  
  Like how the people that used mints to stay awake will struggle in future rules when it will be a neccessary fundamental skill to stay awake for long periods of times.
  
  So basically I think this rule is meant to teach ascendents to be singular existences relying first and foremost on themselves. Hence the punishment of harsher weather in crowded places.
