    the issue is not the nature of the action, but that it ties down his bro to an infinite faucet of wasted time. if mc punches then down a notch it will be because of that and not because of some moral issue. secondly, there is the issue of them aligning with the sect but not following the sect leaders momentum. it could be taken as an indirect slap to MC's face. if they werent of the Li clan, the dead dude would likely be more defensive against them. his mistake, but it is what it is, he saw mount tai too much lol. so, due to that connection and their following mandate, their actions can be taken as that of the sect, and that could be an issue if MC cares enough about their image. the issue itself is only as big as he make it tho, but he might worry about what kind of precedent it sets. imagine if such actions repeats left and right. still, the issue might be put aside due them just lacking alternatives. MC was so happy he finally had found someone fitting, and that is not easy.
