    Honestly, these mages are either very stup#d or very sadistic. They're monitoring the situation on the plane, or at least the base should be suspicious of such an intense fight, practically at level 3, and they simply do nothing? They offer no support or reinforcement to the apprentices precisely for situations like these that completely escape the normal scope of a level 1 mage. These mages are literally telling the apprentices to f#ck off down there!

        I think if it was an apprentice with a level 10 aptitude they might actually care more but for rest it seemed that the approach was very much just let nature take it's course.

      Well they do support but only those who deserve. Them educating these apprentices and protecting their rights should be the biggest support if you read cultivation novels you should know what happens to low level cultivators who stand out there.
