        He had already thought about going to the police, but what would that accomplish?

        These guys were clean! At least, on the surface.

        It was the MC himself wanting to go to the police. The only reason he supposedly didn't go was because he thought the police wouldn't have evidence on them. He can provide the evidence. If her's worried about getting in trouble for playing a part in money laudering, he can cooporate. The police would love to snatch up big wealthy guy and not this minion that the MC is.

        Also, after MC relseases the video online, they'd be less likely to kill him sense all eyes will be on them, and if MC died, it'd be pointing back to them.
