The worst thing here is the presence of the community of the dead, this makes the tension disappear.

Don't really get the negative reviews by other people.
The mc is very multidimensional. He grows, both in power and as a person throught the novel.
Author keeps touching very sensitive topics, but it doesn't just devolve into xenophobia as per usual with cn/kr novels, with which i am very impressed.
Side characters aren't treated as mere objects for mc glaze/power ups, tho the story is fairly centric on the mc.
The way author presented and developed some of the more cliche trials left me very satisfied.
Buildup is present throughout the novel, and payoff is not forgotten either.
Romance was carefully weaven into an otherwise romance-less world, and doesn't feel one bit forced or repulsive.

Overall, at the point of 420 chapters, I would say it's definitely one of the best spins on towers.

Remember the manhwa of this, it seemed rather mid.

The manhwa of this had good potential but it fell off, became mediocre at best, I expect that the novel will be similar and be mediocre at best too
