Probably his hand wasn't actually damaged instead he only felt the pain of it being damaged

Yeah that's that i’ve been thinking since I began this novel. He claims he’s a coward who’s scared shitless but his fear levels seem reasonably average to me. He's just surrounded by people with a corroded concept of fear.

He's a coward but pain must not be something he feels as much compared to the average man even with adrenaline punping and all. Then again if you felt the crushing sensation on your hand being crunched and squeezed into a pulp, a little bit of sharp impalment from a long knife like nail would be least of your worries.

Plots where the main character is self limiting bc they're too stupid, cautious, cowardly ✅️, or a bleeding heart ✅️ is annoying. None of his teammates are worth saving unless it helps him clear. I'm afraid the mc wouldn't be able to kill someone even if he had to, to clear the game.

I don’t think the mc is that cold or pragmatic. He just doesn’t have the personality to do that and honestly you should know that already. After all we saw how he thought of that Baek guy at the start. If he can help people he will do his best to. Even after him saving the people in his train car and them getting killed for doing nothing he still is like that.

I was hoping for character development, but it stays as mostly an annoying gimmick that the author uses to have him succeed bc "plot."

I like it a lot of novels I read are pure pragmatic MCs so I like this type of mc from time to time. He also still has to use his brain even though he has the knowledge.
