    I hope at the distant end of this novel, on his journey back, we get a little montage of all the people he met. Find out if the Prefect ever became important enough to be in the history books, see what has become of the woodcarver, find out if the Ghost finally resolved her obsession... it would be a nice ending or epilogue for busybody readers like me.
