Book One: Invading The System

When the System came to Earth, technology failed, monsters appeared, and billions died as humans were inducted into the game-like physics the System enforced.

Unfortunately for the System, not all humans were on Earth. Some scattered postbiological individuals decided to push it back, and embarked on a decade-long crusade to eliminate the System from Earth.

Cato is just an ordinary postbiological citizen, disgusted enough by the System’s excesses to go through one of the portals on Earth and spread himself to the broader System just as Earth is completely freed.

He has no magic, for the System can’t be destroyed from within, but he does have the technology and knowledge of a civilization that is reaching toward the second rank of the Kardashev scale.

Cato may have to operate under the System’s limitations, but he certainly doesn’t have to play by its rules, and fully intends to remove the threat it offers.

“…furthermore, I maintain that the System must be destroyed.”

Systema Delenda Est is sort of an anti-System Apocalypse novel, pitting hard scifi against an anti-technology litRPG reality.

    I like it and look forward to the updates regularly. The concept of fighting against the system isn't particularly novel but the execution here is. The main character is outside the system, completely. I like the idea of using biology against the system instead of an alternative supernatural energy, the main character isn't overly edgy or heroic either, which I'd good.

    The plot is interesting, characters are gradually introduced and regularly updated. The reason why I personally like it is because it tackles genuine reasons why a system could be bad, such as the lack of creativity and the death of innovation.

    It also delves into how certain individuals thrive within a contained and controlled environment and what suddenly taking away that privilege would lead to.

    Overall? Solid 5/5

    yin yang techniques dont work in comment section so no need to balance the votes, wether you laughed or not now please check the novel because its good, its the author’s fourt novels and he is still cooking, the mc is non human and emotions are lacking, advanced tech and violence will be used to uproot a nocive system, as a consequence of that natives may be helped.

    Personally, I find stories like this annoying. They are usually just pushback against genres that are popular - this is against system apocalypse, there’s a mage against cultivator and berserker against cultivator because cultivation was popular on RR for a little while…

        To be clear - it’s not the concept of pushback that I dislike.

        It’s that quite often stories made out of a dislike for a genre misunderstands or bashes the genre they dislike in a way that is frustrating to read instead of enjoyable.

        For example, I’ve read two novels,

        one where a Western Mage ends up in Cultivation world and considers them savages who grasp power without understanding it - or using the scientific method.
        It completely ignored the scientific nature or meridians, qi development, the understanding of concepts that is so related to the higher levels of cultivation.
        It was frustrating to read that take, bashing to make yourself feel above.

        one where a cultivator ends up in a Western system apocalypse worlds and considers them weak retards who have no concept of true immortality and who’s power methods have no worth.
        It completely ignored the effort, training, and situational differences between worlds that makes System Apocalypse so enjoyable - especially the greater situation in the universe with alien species that cultivation differs from.
        It was frustrating to read that take, bashing to make yourself feel above.

        Now I don’t know that this novel does that, but the synopsis makes me feel like the author dislikes the idea of the System story and its popularity among English readers and wanted to make a story countering it - evidence of no agriculture or artisan classes do that, it’d be like a cultivation story where mortals without Qi war against the heavens and cultivators, and part of the reasoning is that blacksmithing, talisman making, formation developing, and pill creation were all forcibly created by the heavens instead of people.

        It just rubs me wrong.

          Tbh popular Chinese cultivation magic systems are usually trash tier. It simply makes no sense, constantly contradicting itself and constantly handwaves stuff. Literally zero though put into it by the side of the author.

          However, if the author decides to actually put in some effort, you can easily get B+ tier magic systems out of it.

          Example?

          Somehow martial artists can defy gravity despite the fact that they use no energy or world_law to achieve such a feat. Authors constantly go out of their way to remind us that martial arts are completely different than fairy arts. They also somehow become stronger without increasing their weight or volume. Somehow increasing their density is easier than simply increasing their volume. Etc.

          Low key I hate the term immortal arts/civilization. They actually rarely become immortal or have anything to do with immortality. Using the word fairy and its derivatives is more appropriate. Anyways, somehow fairy cultivators can comprehend the concepts and laws of the world but can't properly weight the consequences of their actions. They have been fighting in a world full of conspiracies for centuries or even eons and somehow they get outsmarted by a guy less than a hundred years old. Considering their physical/mental capabilities they should be basically walking and living supercomputers. Etc.

          The problem in Chinese cultivation doesn't lie in the characters. Obviously, u couldn't use a power if u didn't understand it, but then those trash authors just state it as "his understanding of the ___ element increased" Without any explanation, which basically makes u feel like there isn't actually anything behind it.

          Meanwhile, to be completely honest, it's been proven even in modern times that humans have never been able to get better results than anything God has ever made (i.e. whatever exists jn nature). As an example, humans can create extremely complicated machines, but we've yet to create one that has a male and female prototypes and they can do something to produce a baby machine, like what humans (or any species) do. There's a shit ton of such examples where humans have failed to surpass limits placed on us.

          So it's actually kinda logical that from a magical (or magically scientific) perspective, immortality is impossible or stupid.


          Btw... If u wanna read a novel which explores System quite a bit, read "I Hate Systems" Ok the name blatantly says how it hates systems, but unlike what u think, it explores a side of the System genre which we might have never even imagined. It has a power system as unique as that of ORV.

            IHS is a decent novel, but it doesn’t have a quite conclusive ending. It’s highly abrupt, if it is one at all, by which I mean the author could easily release a next chapter and there’d be zero disconnect. Otherwise, I do recommend it.

    I have read this till chapter 5 of the second book. Here are my impressions

    The system is a software that consumes a world and imposes its restriction onto that world and makes it so that things that run on fuel don't work there. That means no engines. The systems provides you with everything including shelter and food. This means civs under the system don't have their own agriculture or anything else for that matter.
    The culture of the system promotes fighting and killing. It doesn't have artisan jobs (stleast its not shown as such). Any artistic endeavour is something restricted for high level being able to manipulate essence.
    Also essence =/= magic. Essence is the currency of the system.

    In the beginning Earth was a highly developed world with a large part of its population living within the virtual space. The decent of the system wipes out tech tlhence essentially killing billions.

    Some "postbiologicals" wage war on the system and destroy its influence on earth.
    The mc jumps the portal connecting earch to another world.
    This is the starting point.
    The mc is a dude with a mission. He isn't a military man on Revenge. He's an untrained in the methods of war kinda guy. He is knowledgeable about biopic weapons and artilary pieces.
    You need to read a few chaps to get his character
    Overall not bad.

      Worth it. Not exactly Beowulf sort of rising action yada yada climax resolution Hero's Journey, but a great story regardless
      Chapters are enormous, comparable to Regressor's Tale Of Cultivation length, so chapter count deceives
      First arc had more action than the others, and growth is slow but enormous (exponential)
      Do recommend.

    This seems good at first and it is but the later may go askew so ppl shouldn't be too stoked up by it cuz plot may go for a nose dive if autjor not handle his fax straight down the road; with how okay things are going this may be a good read eventualy but like i said never get ur hopes up cuz many of these kind of "fresh" ideas end up wasted with generic copy paste plot and not so oeiginal plot holes... ?/5 so far lol
