      It's one of those moments where a cultivator rank up without commotion.
      Also he's just a foundation not core or nascent one.
      AFAIK, there are many who get rank up when they are sleeping, eating or doing arts (playing music instruments, painting, sculpting, etc).

    Hold up, saving the fox was an evil deed, not a righteous one.
    First off, foxes kill chickens, so saving it means killing chickens and harming farmers.
    Secondly, the hunter now has no food, or pelt to sell, unnecessarily giving him a rougher life. Depending on how hungry/poor the hunter was, it could have even killed him.

      They also eat rodents, frogs, toads, insects and berries. Not all foxes hunt chickens. In fact, if the farmer used pesticides then it's the farmers fault for killing the foxes food, making it so that they need to resort to hunting chickens. So, it's more likely that the farmer is the evil one in this scenario. By your logic, if a murderer tried to kill the farmer, stopping that murderer would be an evil deed
