    Throughout roughly a thousand lifetimes, I have been regaining the power I have lost, and often been treated as a genius from it.

    But that was undoubtedly about reclaiming the power I accumulated as a mortal being in my past lives.

    theory:
    seo eun-hyun is fateless, or more specifically, lacks the fate of a heavenly king. it has been foreshadowed many times. the fact that his fate ended when he got into the accident, the fact that he hasn't understood his fate even after reaching true immortal, the fact that he literally has three interpretations of life!

    all enders are given a fate, right? so seo eun-hyun must have a fate, that was once stolen or taken or whatever. in other words, regression isn't his ender gift (because ender's fate correlates with their gifts). so, what exactly is regression?

    it's the fate of ouroboros!! the snake biting its tail, the radiance supreme deity!! at some point, in his 0th cycle, his ender fate was swapped with the fate of ouroboros, resulting in his fate being gone and instead gaining regression in its place.

    remember what ender's are in this chapter... innate true immortals that are in the process of regaining their powers! their fate is their underlying power, dormant within until an ender realizes their fate!

    also remember, light hunts enders. why? just a speculation, but it may be to harvest their fate, and feed it towards the immortal of fate itself, the emperor!

    recall in an author's qna, when asked if time travel will happen in the story, tremendous answered that 'a similar being has already appeared in the story'. that's light! travelling through time to harvest the fates of the first ender that died, seo eun-hyun!

    but in a twist of events, instead of seo eun-hyun losing his fate, instead it is swapped with the fate of ouroboros, the fate of regression, who keep it mind UPDATES WHEN ENDER'S REALIZE THEIR FATE! IT'S A TOOL TO HUNT ENDERS!

    and so, the rightful obsidian devil heavenly king should be ouroboros, the radiance supreme deity, who takes on the form of hong fan? but why did hong fan only appear in future cycles?
