    50 years. Is that enough? The True Immortal comes in 30 years, then the Lightning sect will be destroyed. The Ghost Valley will be destroyed soon as well, but that's further in the future, I thought. Either way, the problem is that by taking Yeon away from the Mad Lord, and then fighting in the war against the demons, that fate will shift and things will change.

      I wouldn’t call him the ultimate evil but he’s definitely the reason for all of the other sects who ascended are dying. Let’s think about what he did so far. Trying killing his own descendant after using them. Killed his own astronomers after they learned they truth of whatever he was trying to hide. Broke part of the warning stele which would save the Golden thunder sect. Allowed Yuan Li to survive so he can turn the entire continent into cultivation resources. Just by inferring we could tell he might have to do with the downfall of all the other sects who ascended with him. Seo Hweol gathered forces pretty quickly in order to go against Madlord and kill him because Madlord knew how he actually is. Definitely one of the main antagonists for this middle realm part.

            Did it say he broke it or is that what you inferred?

            I don't think he broke it, he just hid that section. According to what I recall, the stele and the other structures on the floating island were destroyed long ago. Even those who ascended before knew nothing of what the broken part of the stele said.

      Honestly he is best described as Annoying.
      Seo Hweol is like a annoying and venomous snake that is always slithering around nearby.
      He is behind most of the problems, like parasite.
      Honestly I don't think he is the main villain but definitely one of the most concurrent villain to be blocking MC's path.

    Well, but then it's a way for them to not start with spreading anything. As they'd get pulled down as well.
    And can't they then offer some compensation to keep her? Maybe MC could've given them the Mad Lord's puppetry to study. Or the fact that she won't wish good for them if they take her away from her beloved one. So if they give her some high position, they'd pass themselves into her hands.
