I believe it would be very good if it were revealed that every moment in which he believed he had the Fool's protection was actually orchestrated, and then near the end of the story, Adam uses the mist to make him believe he has another kind of protection, when in reality it's something harmful that will lead him to defeat or something like that.

    (17) Chapter 901: Final Inquiry

"The Magician" saw Lumian finally obtain the last gold coin, and she quietly let out a sigh of relief.

Although the Major Arcana cards had predicted, through divination and psychological analysis, the general development, no one could be entirely sure of the outcome when dealing with an ancient Angel, the Son of a True God. There was always a risk of error, and they had to prepare for any new developments.

The Magician produced a small golden bottle, intricately engraved with mysterious symbols, and handed it to Azik Ings with a smile.

"Mr. Azik, this is a surplus of the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water. It’s a substance born from the pollution of the headwaters of the Min River, with effects such as soul restoration, inducing deep sleep, and creating a thoroughly true dream or death-like state. In the dream, it can bring clarity. We would like to ask for your help to enhance it, to display either the 'inducing deep sleep' or the 'clarity in dreams' properties more prominently."

Soul restoration... Lumian didn't mind that he previously had some of the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water left; his focus was entirely on its soul restoration effect.

Could this possibly help make Aurore's fragmented soul whole again?

"No problem," Azik said as he took the small golden bottle containing the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water.

The Magician seemed to recognize Lumian's thoughts and casually explained to him:

"The 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water indeed has soul restoration effects, but it is limited to restoration, similar to how a power that can regenerate a lost limb cannot create a new person from an arm or a leg. That’s within the realm of the 'Great Mother.'"

Previously, she had answered questions about the 'Black Demoness' and implied that neither she nor the most accurate divination results could provide a precise answer, hinting that the corresponding secrets related to the peculiar world within the mirror.

"Even if it has a certain restoration effect, it's not bad," Lumian said quietly after a moment of silence.

At this point, a vague and terrifying gigantic serpent appeared behind Azik, standing upright and almost touching the illusory sky.

The serpent had grayish-white flames burning in its eye sockets, with a pair of dense and exaggerated wings growing from its back. Its body was covered in large, dark green scales, with white feathers emerging from the gaps.

Although Lumian couldn’t clearly see each feather or scale, merely looking at the illusion gave him a sense of rapidly dying, withering, and drying skin.

This was the 'Mirror Doubles' inability to transfer the damage.

Fortunately, the illusory winged serpent quickly coiled around the small golden bottle, entwining it entirely.

Then, the terrifying serpent rapidly faded, vanishing into the golden bottle.

    Lumian gradually returned to normal.

Azik handed the golden bottle back to the Magician:

"Anyone who touches the spring water in this bottle will fall into a deep sleep, even myself.

"It will have some effect on a True God, but not a significant one unless the god is already very weak or in a state of slumber.

"If you want to wake someone put to sleep by this water, you'll need another dose of the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water, processed similarly but in reverse, or seek assistance from a True God with corresponding authority."

Lumian wasn’t surprised by the limited effect on a True God.

Even the remnants of the Blood Emperor could occasionally awaken and cause turmoil in the mysterious river at the source of the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring.' This was merely a derivative product.

The Magician handed the golden bottle to Lumian:

"This might be useful in the dream, but it’s not guaranteed."

Lumian nodded lightly and placed the treated 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water into his 'Traveler’s Bag.'

The Magician bowed slightly to Azik:

"Thank you for your help. We have achieved all our goals today.

"Is there anything you need from us?"

Azik glanced at the paintings along the hallway, a look of nostalgia on his face, and said, "Not for now.

"I have slept for many years; I want to go around and see the changes in this world."

The Magician didn’t prolong the conversation and left with Lumian.

Before being enveloped by starlight, Lumian looked back and saw the Death Consul quietly standing before a painting, gently stroking its surface with his fingers.

    At dusk.

After being informed that Lugano would have some time off and could arrange his schedule freely, Lumian, Franca, Jenna, Anthony, and Ludwig gathered in an inn on the left side of l’Observatoire Street.

The Magician, wearing an ivory dress embroidered with gold and a wide-brimmed hat, stood by the window and spoke to the five holders of the lucky gold coin:

"I must emphasize once more the potential dangers.

"In Mr. Fool's dream, if you die, you die in reality. If you lose control or go insane, you will also lose control or go insane in reality. If you are directly contaminated by the Celestial Worthy or another entity, your real self will bear the contamination. If you develop psychological issues or severe emotional fluctuations, your body in reality, while asleep, will suffer corresponding problems.

"Pure injuries or fatigue have minimal impact on reality and can be quickly recovered by leaving the dream temporarily or through in-dream healing.

"In that dream, you can use your abilities, but their effectiveness is limited to a level seven ranking. This limitation is due to Mr. Fool's incomplete understanding. In other words, if Mr. Fool recognizes that extraordinary abilities can reach a level six ranking, your capabilities will align with that recognition.

"Likewise, aside from special items like the 'Lady Samaritan's Spring' water, your other equipment in the dream is a product of your consciousness and is limited accordingly.

"The good news is that those entering Mr. Fool's dream through other methods and the extraordinary beings controlled by the Celestial Worthy will face similar limitations. However, the Celestial Worthy can manage the dream to some extent. Avoid any contact with the Celestial Worthy unless absolutely necessary."

    Hearing this, Lumian asked:

"What form and identity does the Celestial Worthy take in Mr. Fool's dream?"

If we know that point clearly, we can effectively bypass that Celestial Worthy.

    The Magician shook her head:

"If we had known, the previous holders of the lucky gold coin wouldn't have been so quickly kicked out of the dreamscape or restricted in their actions.

"Confirming the identity of the Celestial Worthy within the dream is a crucial point of your mission this time."

The Magician explained other aspects related to the dreamscape and finally asked seriously:

"Now, you can make your choice. Are you willing to hold the lucky gold coin of the Fool and enter his true dreamscape, trying to wake him up?

"If not, we won't force you, but you must quickly follow your intuition and give the lucky gold coin to someone else.

"If you are willing, regardless of whether the Fool successfully wakes up or not, we will reward you handsomely."

"I have no problem with it." Lumian, cloaked but not hooded, was the first to answer.

"Me too." Jenna was the second.

Next were Franca and Anthony, who also agreed.

The only one hesitating was Ludwig. The little boy with the red bowtie had a changing expression, seemingly resisting something.

Finally, he glanced at Franca and Jenna, gritted his teeth, and said:

"I am willing to enter the dreamscape."

Although eating in the dream is fake, at least there’s no need for studying and exams!

Having digested the "Pain" potion, Franca found Ludwig amusing and whispered to Jenna:

"This kid really isn't very smart. As soon as I heard miss Magician's description, I concluded:

"If we digest the potion in the Fool's dream, it will also be digested in reality!"

    Jenna whispered back:

"Let’s wait until we enter the Fool's dreamscape to tell Ludwig this truth."

At this moment, miss Magician nodded gently and said:

"I am pleased with your choice. Finally, I remind you once again to delay being kicked out of the dreamscape as long as possible. If you are kicked out more than three times, entering again may result in immediate expulsion or complete restriction, leaving you as mere spectators."

"Understood, madam Magician." Lumian and the others stood up one by one.

    Sparkling starlight fell, enveloping them.

In an instant, the five appeared in a luxurious mansion.

"This is also in Trier. Choose your rooms. You can't stay together. If one person is discovered, it will affect those nearby," miss Magician briefly introduced.

"Got it." Once the decision was made, Franca didn't hesitate any longer and was eager to try.

After confirming their rooms, miss Magician told them in the hallway:

"Now, go to bed holding your lucky gold coin."

"Is that all?" Franca asked in confusion.

    Isn't this too simple?

    The madam Magician smiled:

"No, this is just the first step. Next, Miss Justice will take action."

"Okay." Lumian and the others didn't ask further, returning to their chosen rooms, clutching the glowing lucky gold coin, lying on the firm yet flexible bed, and covering themselves with the soft, sun-scented blankets.

The Sun, Justice and Judge? Plus Lumian and others in train

        LoTM end of chapter 1430

Summer vacation. I also want a summer vacation… I take a sip of iced Coke and put on my 3D glasses.

At this moment, the two-meter tall middle-school student walks along the aisle towards me.

Under normal circumstances, the gap between me and the row in front is sufficient for a person to pass through. However, the figure before me is simply too huge, and it isn’t possible for me to grant him passage by just pulling in my legs.

I have no choice but to stand up and lean back.

The middle-school student successfully passes through. He turns his head and smiles sincerely.

        “Thank you, Uncle.”

        “…No problem.” I still think I’m young.

This interlude doesn’t hinder me from eating popcorn, drinking iced Coke, and watching the various trailers on the big screen.

Very quickly, The Pirate 3 officially begins. My smile only lasts for five minutes before it stiffens.

It’s not that the movie is worse than I expected, but that the male lead’s fortuitous encounter is from drinking a potion.

The potion gives me the feeling that it’s the Assassin beverage I drank before!

Man… The Assassin beverage is actually a potion? Who produced this movie? Hmm, I remember seeing the dragon logo just now… Hall Film Company? This can’t be a reflection of reality, can it? I instantly immerse myself in the plot, but there aren’t any other potions later in the film. Instead, it shows the serious side-effects of the potion.

My heart grows heavier as I watch it. I even feel like I’m the male lead.

After the movie, I can’t help but curse inwardly.

        Is this guy that clueless?

Three beautiful female pirates are surrounding him, but in the end, he only took a silly boatswain with him!

Seriously! Where’s the treasure they promised, and them heading off into the sunset while accompanied by beauties? Yes, it’s all disappeared off into the sunset…

After watching the easter egg, I pick up my empty Coke and popcorn bucket and walk towards the aisle.

At this moment, a short girl who’s clearly less than 1.6 meters tall suddenly comes over and suppresses her voice.

        “Someone is monitoring you.”

Monitoring me… Who? I subconsciously look around, but I can’t find the suspect.

And the woman who warned me has already followed the crowd and walked to the exit.

For real? I think for a moment and decide to leave the cinema first before confirming the situation.

There are too many people here, and it’s too noisy. Calling the police wouldn’t work!

At the same time, a train stops at a high-speed rail station in the city.

One of the carriages slowly opens, but there are only four to five people inside. They form a stark contrast with the crowd in the other carriages.

Those few people are dressed as if they’re going to a comic convention. After exchanging a glance, they stand up and walk out with heavy footsteps.

What they see is an extremely modern platform and crowds of people.
