    Ok what IS the Montsouris ghost?
    It's dark, shadowy and corrupting, unaffected/restricted by location and direct influence. It's somehow tied to Trier's underground. It doesn't seem too concious either or it wouldn't just go along with the fate exchanges of it's targets. It's strength is maybe somewhere around midsequence with unique properties (like through corruption) or significantly weakened high sequence.

    Things I can think of are the the secret suppliant pathway (shadow ascetic), devil pathway, the abyss (criminal pathway) and the related darkness and corruption from underground or something to do with Trier's past and the black emperor. Hope I'm not mixing things up. It's been a while.

    It's probably someone or a remnant or fragment of someone of a higher sequence that lost control and/or died.

    If they think about it in any way, perhaps, Montsouris could have been a beyonder of the reader's path, he lost control and died, now being an evil spirit. The mythical creature of that road are shelves, yes, but those same ones have a black puddle of shadow. Which is quite similar to the current appearance of the spirit. sigh It's good that fors arrived, I already miss her. forwhat forwhat
