    I like how much more like a horror novel the start of this book feels like. While LoM started more of a detective/mystery novel, I find these early chapters just a bit eerie and unsettling and I praise The Fool for it.

    so it can be assumed that they bloom in later spring, which is the real time outside of the loop. why are the flowers exempt from the looping?
