at the start author told us– no actually it came up as a background that the MC is a combination of three things: demon killing, body tempering, and keep on living. not even dozen chapters after that and until chapter 500ish (where i dropped this), he stopped killing demons almost entirely, body tempering also almost gone(>12), he always stretches fights by not using his biggest reliance -his saber-, he got arrogant, trained his tongue muscle (yap) more than actual useful muscles, and for some reason author granted him a heart demon cause he didn't rip his heart out and present it on a gold platter to three strangers he met randomly

but except what's matter –the main plot–, it's decent. the slow-burn romance is nice, friendships are good, family matter is also nice, and like fellow reader below said there's a lot of politicking, if you like that then it's also nice

until now i'm at 520+ he only being a creep and touched (2 unintentional, 1 intentional) three girls, , so it's not that bad PS. if for some reason you didn't get the memo, that's f#cking sarcasm)

Do not doubt and read it, give it a try at least 100 chapter. im at 407 bdw.

The story is interesting if you like the sort of story that savors every encounter with most characters the mc encounters. It does get a little... boring though especially since there aren't really any high stakes or exciting plot at the 200th chapter. It was a little more exciting at the beginning but it's sort of settled to the point where it really just focuses on character interactions. That's not bad, but like it's kind of getting well boring since nothing exciting or interesting is happening.

1. author is from china (I think he is as his name is chinese or he may be impersonating)
2. china as we all know has a big brother watching you even in your own bedroom.
3. so in such a repressed environment(aka era of strife) they (the chinese) strive to better their circumstance (wrestled for hegemony)
4. u may ask don't we all strive for a better quality of life? but the difference is they in addition also strive to obtain some sort of freedom of expression(hegemony) albeit secretly.
5. so now how to obtain this? they only can have 2 options : either join big brother or go abroad to another continent.

If they can't do this well this means like their ancestors they would also live a normal life, probably may even see a cultural revolution or two during their lifetime or the occasional famine(fall into eternal damnation).
